Automatizované panelové ohýbače
Panel bending is highly automated technology offering precise control over the bending process. Panel benders can form large and complex geometries – panels, enclosures and other 3D profiles – quickly and efficiently with high productivity in medium to high volumes. For certain applications, panel bending is significantly faster and more efficient than traditional die bending. LVD Multifold panel benders provide a fully automatic forming operation with loading, feeding, gauging, tool setting, folding, positioning, rotation, and unloading.
Automated panel production
The panel bender uses up- and down-acting blades that can move in both X and Y direction instead of the punches and dies used in traditional bending. Clamping tools secure the workpiece firmly in place. During forming, the workpiece remains in a horizontal position and only the blades (tool) move. There is no need for an operator to guide the workpiece, and the machine automatically positions and handles the tool setup.
This design allows for fully automated bending, fast bending cycles, and the flexibility to bend any radius and handle hemming operations without special tooling. Panel benders also experience less tooling wear even after years of use due to minimal friction between tool and material. In addition, the bending process leaves no tool marking on the workpiece.
Panel benders are ideal for manufacturers producing large parts, such as refrigerator doors, enclosure covers, shelving, steel furniture, fire doors and other panel-like components that are relatively shallow and feature all (or mostly) upward-facing bends. In some applications, panel benders can deliver three to four times the performance of an automated press brake.
LVD offers semi-automatic and fully-automatic Multifold panel benders as a complement to die-bending press brakes – for a comprehensive range of bending and forming products.
With a universal set of servo-operated up-and-down folding blades, LVD panel benders can process a wide range of profiles and various types of bends. Most profiles can be formed using just one set of bending tools. This includes positive and negative bends, open and closed hemming, up and down hemming, offset bends, narrow profiles and radii.
The fully servo-driven Multifold system provides precise control over the bending process, providing high repeatability and high productivity. The design requires minimal service and is virtually maintenance-free. It includes automatic sheet feeding, tool setting, servo bending, clamping, feeding, sheet rotation and positioning and gauging.
While panel bending systems usually require a higher initial investment than most press brakes, this highly automated and versatile technology can take the place of multiple bending machines, and, in the case of Multifold models, are offered in standard configurations which can be customised to user needs and budget.
LVD designs, manufactures and supports Multifold panel benders through two dedicated production facilities. LVD forming experts help fabricators identify the ideal panel bending solution based on part dimensions, material type, production volume and automation requirements.
