CADMAN® software seamlessly works with more than 40 file formats using Smart Drawing Importer, CADMAN-SDI, to import single files as well as assemblies.

Hi, I'm Roman.

Welcome to another session of Nailed It. Now let’s have a look at how to import different file formats into CADMAN. Importing different file formats can be done with CADMAN-SDI. CADMAN-SDI is our smart drawing importer that lets you import over 40 different file formats from most standard packages such as SLDPRT from SolidWorks, Solid Assembly from SolidWorks, but also IPTs from Inventor, for example.

Right now, you'll see a full list of available formats on the screen. How do we do it? We simply select the parts we want to import, all the different file formats, and they will be imported in CADMAN-SDI, which will do some validations on the parts and then save them in our CADMAN database. So I imported all these different file formats, single parts and assemblies into CADMAN-SDI, which is now doing some checks on manufacturability and validating the part geometry.

This was it for Nailed It right now, see you in the next session.
