Multitel Pagliero was founded in 1911, initially focusing on mechanical processing and later expanding into the production of rear-mounted cranes until the late 1980s. As increasing competition from multinational players players reshaped the crane market, the company strategically shifted its focus to aerial platforms and the innovative electronic systems that move them. Today, Multitel employs 560 people and operates a 30,000 m² facility, processing approximately 2250 tons of aluminium and 4000 tons of steel each year.
Multitel manufactures large, high-strength aluminium structural components that require both precision and efficiency. To meet these demands, the company relies on a Taurus laser cutting system for high-precision cutting. This technology has replaced traditional shearing processes and delivers significantly higher speeds than plasma cutting. In addition, the bevel cutting capability has reduced the production time of the platform arms by several days.
A fully synchronised PPEB-H tandem press brake combines an 800-ton, 8-meter with a 640-ton, 6-meter machine. This powerful configuration of unequal tonnages enables Multitel to process high-strength components up to 14 meters long. The company has deliberately kept this capability in-house, as few suppliers can handle such demanding work.
The tandem system, along with two addtional press brakes (320/51 and 170/40), is equipped with the Easy-Form Laser system, improving the angle accuracy. The CADMAN software has improved overall efficiency.
