CNC Universal Milling Cell Operator
Your role
As a CNC Universal Milling Cell Operator, your role will involve planning and executing various machining operations on a wide range of fabrications and parts made from different metals. This includes rough and finish boring, milling, slotting, back-facing, drilling, counterboring, tapping, and more. The work will be performed on CNC machining centers within a designated cell.
Your responsibilities
- Perform own setups according to program directives.
- Utilize shims, blocks, supports, and fixtures to ensure proper alignment of irregular shaped surfaces.
- Ensure no movement, shifting, springing, or breakage of parts or machines during machining.
- Locate work on tables and fixtures relative to established reference surfaces and datums.
- Use dial indicators, surface gauges, levels, machine probing systems, and other equipment as required.
- Interpret and follow drawings, processes, programs, shop orders, and instructions accurately.
- Operate CNC machine controls, computers, and software, with the ability to edit code when necessary.
- Check and inspect work to ensure compliance with drawing specifications, program directives, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Programmers, Group Leaders, Methods Engineers, and Management to standardize work processes and procedures.
- Deburr parts during machining operations using hand tools and hand-operated power tools.
- Assist with related secondary functions such as drilling, countersinking, tapping, and removal of broken taps or drills.
- Work effectively in a team environment and provide assistance to others when needed.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials processed, and any program changes.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One to Two years of experience in Mill Machining or equivalent educational/training certificate.
- Experience in rigging and overhead cranes.
- Knowledge of GD&T is a plus.
- Ability to work with both metric and imperial measurements.

Wage Rate: $25.37/Hour - Step Increases after 6 months and 12 months.
