Your role
As the Sales Professional, you will play a crucial role in the organized development of the assigned sales area, focusing on acquiring and developing new customers and markets, as well as nurturing repeat sales to existing customers.
Your responsibilities
- Service and grow market share in the established territory by implementing an organized program of lead follow-up, trade contract development, and planned prospecting activities within the Sheet Metal Fabrication Industry.
- Maintain timely documentation such as expense reports and lost business records.
- Assist in problem resolution and collection activities.
- Manage and provide customer-related data, including key contacts and machines installed by both Strippit and direct competitors.
- Submit management and project status reports promptly.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, as well as report on proposal activity.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of company products and their application to customer needs.
- Stay updated on competitive products and tactics, providing feedback as necessary.
- Assist with trade show preparation and attend shows as required.
- Continuously improve personal selling and marketing skills.
Skills
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Possession of a valid, clean driver's license.
- Willingness to travel as required and ability to work flexible hours as business conditions dictate.
Qualifications
- Two (2) year degree required; four (4) year degree preferred in business/technical discipline or equivalent sales experience.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience selling capital equipment to the metal fabricating industry.
