Product Applications Specialist – Press Brake
Your role
As a Press Brake Applications Specialist at LVD Strippit Inc. in Akron, NY, you will serve as a technical ambassador for our press brake solutions. Your role bridges engineering expertise with customer engagement, ensuring optimal application of our products, tooling, automation systems, and software. You’ll lead demonstrations, deliver training, provide technical support, and collaborate on product development—all with the goal of driving customer satisfaction and supporting sales growth.
Your responsibilities
- Develop in-depth knowledge of LVD’s pressbrake systems, automation, and offline programming software
- Provide technical training and guidance to customers, sales representatives, and internal teams
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions on machine setup, operation, and software programming
- Provide ongoing technical support to ensure customer success
- Support sales teams during customer visits, providing product presentations, live demonstrations, and developing tailored proposals
- Conduct time studies, part evaluations, and develop sample parts to illustrate product capabilities
- Lead customer demonstrations at the Akron Experience Center and on-site at customer facilities
- Represent LVD at trade shows, exhibits, and sales meetings
- Gather customer feedback to recommend product improvements and identify new opportunities
- Analyse competitor offerings to enhance market positioning, providing feature/benefit analysis to strengthen market positioning
- Build strong relationships with North American sales representatives
- Travel with sales teams to provide on-site technical expertise and support
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce (CRM), including pricing and customer data
- Prepare reports and communicate customer requirements to engineering and order entry
- Participate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Hands-on experience with press brakes: setup, programming, and operation
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication or metal forming processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CNC programming, and CAD/CAM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proven ability to support sales and deliver customer-focused solutions
- Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work across departments including sales, engineering, and marketing
- Domestic and occasional international travel availability
