As a subcontractor to B2B companies in the window and door industry sector, we stand out by offering powder coating and metalworking services. In response to market demand, we are able to deliver orders to customers within ten working days.

For this it is essential that we are a well-oiled machine and that is why five years ago we invested in an online platform that allows our customers to directly submit price inquiries and place orders. This leads to the generation of a bend program, a DXF file, and a cutting program. This means customers can use a 3D drawing package to create designs, which are then checked by CADMAN-SDI. CADMAN-B software unfolds the part and sends it directly to the machine. We have two 4-metre press brakes and a Phoenix fibre laser that we purchased 18 months ago and that can cut two-by-four metre sheets.

Thanks to this streamlined process, order entry time has been drastically reduced from 10 to 15 minutes to virtually zero, depending on the size and complexity of the orders. It’s a win-win situation for all involved.

For us, choosing LVD as a partner made perfect sense. As a Belgian company we wanted to show that the customisation industry has a future here so therefore it was important to work with a Belgian partner who shares that same vision. As a company you have to be steadfast and win the price battle without compromising on service, quality and customer satisfaction.

In the past we would mill sheets on a flatbed milling machine, which involved extensive programming with multiple tools, and significant deburring, resulting in substantial finishing work. With laser technology, we can now engrave parts efficiently. It used to take 10 minutes to work on a door, now the job is finished in 40 seconds.

It was not only about creating our platform and software with an external partner; the software also had to be able to communicate with all the machines. This led us to invest in state-of-the-art machines capable of integrating with the software. In LVD we found a partner willing to work closely with us to help us achieve our goals.

Before you invest in a machine, you carefully consider its present and future utility. LVD’s collaboration was invaluable as they actively helped us identify a machine that meets our current needs and remains relevant for the next five years. At the end of the day everyone is happy. We now have a high-performing machine and LVD has gained a loyal customer.
