By replacing traditional punch press processes with advanced laser cutting technology, Designplan can optimize sheet metal utilization through tighter part nesting and eliminate the need for clamp strips. This results in significantly lower material waste while maximizing the use of every sheet.

The new laser system aligns with Designplan's sustainability objectives by helping reduce the environmental impact of its manufacturing operations without compromising product quality or performance.

Previously, laser-cut components were outsourced, adding additional production time and limiting manufacturing flexibility.

With laser cutting now integrated into its own facility, Designplan has greater control over its production process, allowing faster response to customer requirements, shorter lead times, and improved manufacturing efficiency. The in-house capability also enhances scheduling flexibility and supports quicker turnaround for both standard and custom lighting solutions.
