I’m Marco Tonucci and I founded OMAR in 1966. Today I run the company with my partners and my daughters. We’re a leading Italian manufacturer of standard and custom trailers.
The trailer market is evolving more and more towards customisation, no two trailers are identical. To meet this new demand we needed a storage system that allowed us to work with all the materials we use for the different orders. Our LVD laser is connected to the warehouse system, which can handle up to 18 different material types, each in different thicknesses, enabling us to respect the requested lead times.
Our productivity has also shot through the roof. We’ve reduced the need for manual material handling by 30% and this means we can expect a quick return on our investment.
This great result helps us to remain competitive in the international market.
