Area Sales Manager - Machine Tools (Region North/Scotland)

Your responsibilities
As an Area Sales Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing sales plans to meet or exceed targets and goals for your area.
- Providing technical and engineering information on LVD products, services, and equipment to address customer inquiries.
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations, offering tailored solutions to customer needs.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through prospecting, research, and analysis of sales options.
- Maintaining strong relationships with customers by offering support, information, and guidance, and recommending strategies for increased profitability and service improvements.
- Building and nurturing relationships with prospects and recommending suitable solutions.
- Delivering accurate monthly sales projections and forecasts.
- Managing the entire pre-sales and post-sales process, from initial contact to payment terms and final contract execution.
- Coordinating delivery, installation, and final acceptance processes.
- Assisting with payment collection for machine sales with the support of the Administration team.
- Supporting the Service Department in resolving machine failures or service issues, ensuring positive outcomes.
- Attending industry trade shows and events to promote products and uncover new sales opportunities.
- Staying informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market activities to identify potential product improvements or opportunities.
- Enhancing professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and participation in professional societies.
- Maintaining CRM records for your area and completing expense and mileage reports in a timely manner.
- Performing other duties assigned by the company as required.
Skills

Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- A background in sheet metal fabrication, which is a significant advantage.
- Experience as a technical applications engineer with an interest in transitioning into sales.
- A minimum of 3 years in sales, with experience in sheet metal machine tool sales being a plus.
