From Conventional Manufacturing to High-Efficiency Production

LVD Multifold helped transform the production capabilities of Jay Industries by enabling faster processing, improved consistency, and significantly higher output through advanced automation.

Established in the 1980s by his father and joined by Rajesh Panchal in 2003, Jay Industries began its manufacturing journey with Godrej as a key customer. Today, the facility spans over 32,000 sq. ft. and processes materials ranging from 0.5 mm to 16 mm thickness.

Over the years, the company evolved from conventional manufacturing practices to adopting advanced CNC and automated sheet metal technologies, driving major improvements in operational efficiency.

The Challenge: Improving Productivity & Process Efficiency

As demand increased, traditional fabrication methods at Jay Industries began creating limitations in:

  • Production speed
  • Process efficiency
  • Product consistency
  • Handling complex components
  • Scaling daily output

Conventional processes required multiple separate operations for cutting, punching, and notching, increasing production time and reducing efficiency.

The company needed a smarter and more reliable manufacturing solution to support future growth.

The Solution: LVD Multifold Panel Benders & CADMAN®

To modernise operations, Jay Industries invested in advanced technology from LVD Multifold, including two panel benders and turret punch press solutions integrated with CADMAN® offline programming software.

The impact was immediate.

By streamlining operations and reducing manual intervention, the company achieved:

  • Faster production cycles
  • Improved process reliability
  • Consistent component quality
  • Easier duplication of parts
  • Higher operational efficiency

The offline programming capabilities of CADMAN® significantly reduced setup and processing time, enabling faster conversion from raw material to finished goods.

Doubling Production Capacity

One of the most significant results came from the implementation of the LVD Multifold panel benders at Jay Industries. Previously, the company could manufacture approximately 35 cupboard units per day using conventional CNC bending machines. After installing the first panel bender, production capacity increased to 70–80 units per day.

With the addition of a second panel bender for shelves, tops, and bottoms, daily output further increased to approximately 120–125 cupboard units per day. The automation also enabled the production of components and products that were previously difficult or impossible to manufacture using conventional bending methods.

Reliability That Builds Confidence

According to Rajesh Panchal, reliability played a major role in selecting LVD Multifold.

Jay Industries spent years evaluating machinery before making its final investment decision.

The result has been:

  • Reliable machine performance
  • Improved product consistency
  • Repeatable quality from first piece to last
  • New business opportunities, including safe manufacturing

The ability to manufacture complex products with precision and repeatability has become a major competitive advantage for the business.

“The first piece and the last piece have the same quality — that’s the most important thing.”
