LVD to highlight bending technology, software integration at Intec 2017
LVD showcases bending and software technology at Intec 2017 with the ToolCell 135/30 press brake and integrated CADMAN® software on display at Hall 3, Stand D20. LVD products and technology make smart manufacturing a reality, providing highly efficient and flexible solutions for the new generation of sheet metalworking.
AUTOMATED TOOLING-CHANGING PRESS BRAKE
By reducing unproductive time with automated tool changing capabilities, the ToolCell 135/30 press brake maximizes bending productivity. It features an integrated storage of tooling, housed within the machine. Tools are precisely and automatically placed, eliminating manual tooling adjustments. While the operator is preparing parts for the next job, the machine automatically unloads the previous tool setup and loads the next.
The ToolCell is equipped with LVD’s patented Easy-Form® Laser (EFL) in-process adaptive bending technology, ensuring consistency from the first to the last part. EFL uses measurement at the front and back of the die to determine the exact value of the angle of the workpiece. The measuring devices transmit information in real time to the CNC control unit, which processes it and subsequently adjusts the depth to obtain the correct angle. The bending process is not interrupted, and no production time is lost.
ToolCell is offered with various configurable machine options, including stroke, open height front supports and sheet following units.

At Intec, CADMAN-B software will be demonstrated. CADMAN-B provides the link between virtual production engineering and real-world bending. After importing a 3D CAD part, CADMAN-B calculates bend allowances and determines the optimal bend sequence and gauge positions. This expertise is based on CADMAN’s world-class algorithms for unfolding and collision computation during the bending process.
