
Finance Manager
Your role:
As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for providing financial advice and support to the Managing Director to enable them to make sound business decisions. Clear budget planning is essential for short and long term future planning. In addition care must be taken to ensure that financial practices are in line with all statutory legislation and regulations. In your role, you will directly report to the Managing Director and you will work closely with our finance department at the HQ in Belgium.
Your responsibilities:
- Responsible for all topics regarding finance and accounting of the subsidiary
- Drive the day-to-day financial operations (back-up for other financial roles)
- Ensure accurate and timely payment and recording of all duties and responsibilities
- Control and approve employee expense reports and other expenses
- Cash Management & Credit Control
- Fleet Insurance Management
- Payroll overview (incl. absence, illness, balance and other elements)
- Track social insurance contribution (pension contribution, health insurance contribution)
- Submit VAT EC Sales list
- Complete the monthly and yearly accounting closes, incl. balance sheet reconciliations
- Monitor and control capital expenditures, expenses and variances to remain within the approved budget, investigate variances, interpret the financial results in operations terms, and advise management on significant deviations of the budget in a timely manner with suggestions for corrective actions
- Investigate different cost-reduction opportunities
- Prepare financial forecasts and monthly reports for management team
- Coordinate and manage the year-end audit process, finalize year-end statements and submit final audited results to the HQ financial department
- Coordinate preparation of annual budget and assist Managing Director in the preparation and presentation of the annual subsidiary business review (incl. formulation of strategic and long-term business plans)
- Supervise the finance team
- Collaborate closely with banks, tax advisors, public accountants, solicitors and statutory organizations, such as HMRC
- Ensure compliance with local regulations & legislation and keep up to date with any changes
Required skills:
- Profound MS Office Knowledge
- Experience with ERP/LN
- Corporate finance experience

Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration or similar, with a focus on Finance, Accounting & Taxation, or other relevant fields
- At least three years of professional experience in the field of finance
- AAT Qualification
