CNC Controls Integration Engineer

Responsible for the integration of controls and sub-systems into new and existing products.
Essential functions
- Development and support of machine control PLC logic for new products and existing product improvements.
- Develop and conduct comprehensive test plans and procedures for design verification and ensure that new products meet required specifications.
- Generate documentation for software releases used by manufacturing and service.
- Implementation product improvement innovations through testing and direct teamwork with Marketing, Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Ensure that functionality of the products comply with goals and initiatives as defined.
- Operation of machine controls and electronic test equipment such as Digital multimeters and amp meters.
Qualifications
- BS or BT degrees in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrated project / using PLC logic to control mechanized devices.
- 3 to 5 years related experience with CNC Control Integration in a manufacturing environment preferred.

- Demonstrated electrical and mechanical capabilities.
Technical skills/special requirements
- Specialized test equipment such as digital oscilloscopes, pressure transducers, flow meters, laser interferometers, etc. preferred.
- Working knowledge of Control Hardware, including Servo motors and drives, discrete & distributed I/O, etc.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and power distribution/application required.
- Knowledge of CNC controlled machine tools and Fanuc controls preferred.
- Additional computer skills include (Microsoft office environment, Work, Excel, e-mail, internal network)
- Work environment will consist of a regular office setting with occasional exposure to a manufacturing setting.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on occasion.
- Must be able to provide proper documentation for occasional international / domestic travel.
- No other employees directly report to this position.
