Akron, New York – LVD Strippit displayed a range of sheet metal fabrication equipment at the recently concluded FABTECH show. Products on display included:
Dynamic Laser Processing with Mid-level Automation System
Sirius 3015 Plus is an automation-ready flying optics laser cutting system that combines a dynamic machine with high laser beam quality for consistently accurate laser processing. The Sirius Plus at FABTECH featured an integrated shuttle table and 4 kW laser source.
High Productivity Strippit Punch Press
The new Strippit VX-1225 made its North American debut at FABTECH. The machine combines a high speed 20 metric ton hydraulic ram with a large, versatile 48-station turret and innovative table design to provide the ultimate in high productivity output, delivering a productivity increase of up to 30% over previous generation Global machines. A new energy reduction system also makes it one of the world’s lowest energy consuming punch presses.
Advanced Bending Technology Featuring Patented Easy-Form® Laser
A high performance Easy-Form® Series press brake was demonstrated. The press brake features LVD’s patented Easy-Form® Laser in process angle correction and monitoring system. This unique, patented system uses a twin laser camera system mounted at the front and rear of the tooling set to monitor the angle of the bend in real time, providing instant feedback to the CADMAN® Touch control, thus ensuring parts are formed to the correct angle from the first bend. The system minimizes set ups, eliminates scrap and reworking.
Integrated CADMAN® Programming Software for Bending, Punching, Laser Cutting
LVD Strippit also demonstrated the power of its CADMAN® offline programming system for use with its forming, punching and laser cutting equipment. CADMAN® is an integrated, PC-based CAD/CAM system that operates on a Windows® platform. It provides a seamless offline programming environment enabling users to combine fabricating design and programming functions into a single package. CADMAN’s automatic CAM functions simplify programming and increase the productivity and flexibility of the sheet metal fabrication process. The newly released CADMAN®-B 3D version 7.2 provides enhanced bending features and is compatible with LVD’s CADMAN® CNC control and CADMAN® Touch touch screen controller. The new release also supports robotic bending applications.
