LVD Company nv, Gullegem, Belgium -- a leading Belgian manufacturer of sheet metalworking machine tools and offline software - has recently installed solar electrical cells on 16.500 square meters of the rooftops of two of its Belgian facilities in a pro-active drive to reduce the groups’ energy costs and to offset its carbon footprint.

By utilizing the recently installed solar energy panels LVD is able to generate up to 15% of its yearly electricity consumption in renewable solar energy, reducing carbon dioxide emissions cumulated over the next 20 years by up to 5,5 million kilograms.

With a power generation capacity of just under 700 kWp LVD is not only able to reduce its own power consumption from the national grid but it is also able to provide ‘green’ power back to the ‘grid’ during weekends and during holidays.

All equipment, installation, configuration, maintenance and management of the system is handled by Enfinity.
